Persuasive highlights

 I really need more help with the new sentence types because I am kind of not sure what they are. I just need a little more learning. I think we started on them last week? I would give myself to ticks I know what they are I'm just not confident about using them in my writting.

That’s Me - Predator Free

"An estimated 25 million native birds, eggs, and chicks are cruelly eaten alive by introduced predators every year in New Zealand," Forest &Bird  said. Does this concern you? If so, you are not alone. I believe that we all have a role to play in protecting the native flora and fauna of Aotearoa.

Imagine a New Zealand with no thriving, lush bush and  no beautiful, endemic birds: this could become a reality!  Laziness, indifference, business - why are people doing nothing?  Proverbs 12:10 says, ‘a righteous man cares for his animals.’ We must care enough to take action so our threatened species are here for future generations.

Some people believe that the Predator Free 2050 ambition is a pie in the sky; I believe it can be achieved. If we work together, if we get our families on board, if we upskill and get out there, then our birds will thrive .  According to Preadatorfreenz.org, areas not under pest management have only  5% of chicks survive. In areas where pests are controlled 50 - 60 % of chicks survive. You see, ordinary people like you are out there; ordinary people, like you, are learning, trapping, monitoring and teaching others.

The boys character review

This is a nicely written novel called catching falling stars it is written by jk. It is basically about a boy and a girl who move to a foreign little town. They learn to be brave, love and more so if you wanna no more read along.

A character in the novel catching falling stars is Rich who is yet to become a foreigner. This is because the world is at war and London is no longer a safe place for the rich and his sister glory. This essay is going to explain deep feelings for Rich and what is yet to become. 

 Rich is an intriguing character. He was only seven years old when he was drawn away from his family and everything he knew and loved. His home was safe until everything was lost because of air-raids and falling bombs. The world was being engulfed in darkness. day by day. ( The novel is set in 1941) The blitz. The woman ( Miss Saunders) we now live with is cold and unwelcoming, and the village children are just as unfriendly. And even in the country, they are not safe from enemy planes. 

 The main part in this story is when Rich and his sister Glory come to the understanding of why Miss Saunders is: mean, grumpy and nasty. It is because of her past life and the things that happened. Rich then feels sorry for Miss Saunders and they start to talk and discover they have so much in common, but the bad thing is that rich and their sister glory have also been hiding something from Miss Saunders? The children have become friends with them. 

 So, in the end, their parents come to collect them and they don't wanna go home. They wanna stay with Miss Saunders and their friends there they call it home now. Eventually, they get old and life passes on during these dark days and that there is called catching falling stars.

Facts for fun and stuff

 This will explain many of the things that we have been doing in math, like bedma(stands for: brackets, exponents, division, multiplication, addition.

 This is my it is not and then I tell you what it is. It is not/ it is. It is a good thing learning new moari words instead of saying  kahore now I can say ehara.

Shock Wave

We have been learning to do other; other sentences, personification, figurative language and to take time to make changes. I think I did well in my assessment I got 85p, 90p, 60p adds up to 235 percent. It is a very sad story. I am building more confidence in other sentences and de; de sentences. I also need to have made more Improvements based on teacher feedback or lessons from my teachers or friends. 

 Intro                                

The bus suddenly pulled to a halt and my cousin, brother and I got out. We then took off running as the rain reminded us to get home. Some people like dogs; other people prefer cats. I like dogs the most . The rain starts to crawl down my forehead and onto my face making it harder to see.  I quickly glance up at the puppy kennel, " But where is my puppy? I couldn't think about that now. I quickly went diving into our warm welcoming house" Is anyone home?" My cousin asked,

.  "No,” I replied happily. “We're all alone and we can basically do whatever we want”.

                                           Terror

Ten minutes later my auntie zoomed down the driveway sending triplets of water flying. She gets out of the car and comes inside. "Where is my Zeus?" she asks, I don't know I replied as if I had coughed up a ball of yarn “ I haven't seen him”. The searching party went up and there he was: horror, shock, sadness, and anger swept through the house like wildfire. “No! ” I say starting to well up into tears as all these emotions overtake me. There my dog was hanging lifelessly on the electric wire. Dead or maybe unconscious. We quickly got him off the chain and took him to the vet.

                                       Hope 

I start to pray and ask God if my dog will live. Staying outside in the cold and waiting for my auntie's arrival. I couldn't believe what had happened, the consequence of my dog's actions was life-threatening. It was going to be a silent, cold night today. My aunty comes back down the road in her blue Mazda car. My pup Zeus was wrapped in a fluffy nice blanket. I ran down to greet them with open arms hoping dearly that he had survived. “The vet couldn't do anything for him” my auntie cries, making my heart sink like an anchor. I will never get my hopes up again. 

We dug a grave for my dear dog and carefully placed him in. We remembered all the wonderful times that we had with Zeus. I will never forget him. When lightning strikes it's a sign of a broken heart and when the rain pours I will know that it is a sign of tears and sadness. I will always remember you, Zeus.

Achieving my goals

 I am trying to move up to brick 24. What will really help is going on to miharo math on my class sight. It has learn and practice.  Learn is where you learn about the things that your brick is about. Practice is where you practice your brick.
