Write to explain one of the following: How plants excrete, how gardeners are like a scientist, how farmers deal with effluent, or how something works (like a battery circuit)
How do Plants Excrete?
How do plants excrete? Plants are wonderful living things that excrete like you and I. They make food for themselves, they thrive, nourish, and are miracles. Plants have many processes, but today I am going to explain how plants excrete: waste, gasses, and other non - useful materials. Excreting means to separate and expel waste If excretion does not occur in an organism eventually the plant's life will come to an end, so how do plants excrete waste? This will explain how.
Roots and leaves
Did you know If you use a telescope you see stomata (Poures) on the surface of the leaves? They remove gases and water through the stomata. Osmosis is the movement of water going from a high concentration to a low concentration. Some water is used in photosynthesis in the leaves, the rest is lost by a process called transportation. Plants store sugar in their roots to help them absorb water.
Xylem vessels.
Lastly, in-plant stems or tree trunks, water moves upwards through thin pipes called xylem. The water is pulled up through the xylem and water evaporates in the leaves at the top of the pipes; and on sunny, windy or hot days transpiration is faster. Roots drink the water which then transports up the xylem vessels up the plant and out the stomata, replacement water then moves into the roots by osmosis.
Summary
In summary, now we know how plants excrete. Plants are like mammals, excretion is the form of urine for mammals, for plants it is water that is their urine and other non - useful materials. Plants excrete by their stomata in their leaves and the process of removing waste and other non-useful material. If excretion does not occur in an organism, waste products collect, because this happens it eventually kills the plant
